Hi, my name is Troya and I live in NYC with my husband and our three boys. The oldest is 15 and the youngest is 6 so I am starting to have a little more time for myself.

As you can imagine with 3 boys I am very busy and my husband is too. I work as a cashier in the supermarket and I am thinking now that the kids are a little older that I could try and think about doing something that I like a little better.

I am smart but never went to college and so I just took any old job I could find. The way this economy is going, I probably am crazy to think about trying to find another job!!

That is reason I am taking the Natural Beauty course. I almost 40 now and well, you know it is getting harder to look good. I never wore a lot of make up but I might have to start because I am getting some wrinkles.

My goals are to take better care of myself so that I can feel more confident and take the plunge to look for a new job. Thank you for this nice journal.

Mashubi, thank you for your course. It is really helping me to stay on track with being more healthy. It is hard to make changes but as you said, if I go a little at a time it works OK. I have lost 5 lbs which isn't a lot but for me is a really big deal!! I've been gaining and gaining a little each year since my last son was born. You are right, my skin does look better now that I am drinking more water and eating less junk food. I hope I can keep it up when the winter comes. I really have trouble during the holidays. I always get a skin breakout. Bye for now, and thanks. I will be happy to receive your newsletter.

 Managing to make a few changes

Well, I've managed to start drinking more water and this helps me although I forget a lot! I try to help my boys to drink more water too, to help them stay healthy. I do notice that I feel a little better and have less cravings for sugar.

 Having trouble making changes

Thank you Mashubi for your welcome. My boys are out of school now and it has been really hectic. I have managed to be able to drink more water. That is a simple thing and I do notice that this helps my digestion. And my skin is less dry.

I just wasn't able to find the tme to do face exercises. They look fun but I don't know how to find the extra minutes I need right now. Maybe in the fall. We are going away to see his family next week, and my aunt is sick and I am taking care of her.

The part about healthy diet, well that one is going to take some work. I am overweight, and I love my chocolate! I know that this is making my snsetive skin problems worse. I will let you know how it goes when I get back.
